ToDo Sync Error in Windows 7

Postby jacquesbr » Tue Nov 02, 2010 11:55 pm

I was using 2Do smoothly with my Iphone 3GS (IOS 4.1), Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bits, Outlook 2007 and ToDo Sync 1.0.7.0.

Now, I moved to a new hard drive with a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bits, Outlook 2007 and ToDo Sync 1.0.7.0.

When I try to sync 2Do, I get the following error message:

Please confirm that Outlook is installed on this machine. Consult Helper logs (Helper menu->Help->Show Logs) or contact support if problem persists.

Error Message: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80040107):Error in ImgStore:OpenEntry - 0x0000000055510C61D4286844902CB45F855449AA2810000:
MAP_E_INVALID_ENTRYID
at Redemption.IRDOSession.GetDefaultFolder(rdoDefaultFolderType)
at ToDoSyncHelper.SyncService.initPullPhase(RDOSession&rdoSession)

This app is fantastic and I am so disappointed I can't get it to work in my new system.

Help is appreciated.

Inspecting Outlook Add-Ins list I've found out that Redemption Helper Outlook Extension is not loaded:

Load Behavior: Not loaded. A runtime error occurred during the load of the COM Add-in.

This is probably the reason sync is not working.

I tried to remove and Add the Add-In again but the error still happens.

Help appreciated.

I could resolve this issue recreating the PST file and importing items from the old to the new one.

I have the exact same issue. The sync function worked fine, until the Outlook calender crashed on Thursday, so I re-installed an automatically saved version of Outlook from earlier in the day (could the calender crash perhaps be linked to 2Do?). Since then I receive the same error message every time I try to sync. Have Outlook 2007 32 bit on Windows 7

This error is almost certainly caused by a corrupt PST file. If you can create a new PST file and then import items from the old one, that should do the trick. There are apparently tons of websites offering tutorials on how to repair an existing PST file if you don't want to create a new one:
