Is there a way to have the "Today" screen set as the default screen shown when I launch 2Do? Thanks in Advance

I can't find how you set it but my 2Do auto starts in Today. So it is possible.

Nope. I believe I remember an earlier version (or maybe it was another program that gave a default startup option) but 2Do currently just opens in the last view before closing. The previous responder probably uses Today all the time so it appears that it is set up to open in Today but that's not the case

Tap "Settings". Tap "Startup" under Calendars. Under Launch To you may choose between "All Tasks" (the "All" calendar tab), "Today Tasks" (the Today calendar tab) or "Last Opened Calendar".

Not true. I just tried it specifically using a calendar other than Today. When I close and re-open, it automatically opens under Today.

However, I don't have a Startup or Launch To option as mentioned by the poster above. At least not that I can find.

Here's what I THINK is going on. First, there in no such setting in the current version in my 2Do ver 2.1 despite what the mcw42551 says so he must still have the old version. There used to be a setting for this as I recall so perhaps you had your older version of 2Do set up to open the Today calendar and this setting was retained in the new version even though the option to change it was not. So my assumption is that no matter what, yours will always open to Today and you can't change it to anything else where mine always opens to last Calendar and I can't change it. Perhaps if support is listening, the can get this changed back to be an option

Perhaps this setting is available in the Lite version but not the full version

I am using version 2.1 on an iPod Touch iOS 3.1.3. The Settings>Calendars>Startup>Launch to options that I cited in my previous post are present on my device. I am looking at them as I type this. If I change the settings from, for example, "Today" to "All", when I relaunch 2Do, the "All" calendar displays; if I change it back, the "Today" calendar displays.

I cannot speak to how this feature may or or may not be present and/or functional on devices running iOS4.*. However, I would imagine that with multitasking operational, it would be necessary to completely close out 2Do for any changes to the Launch to settings, assuming they are there, to take effect.

Thanks for the reply. I'm using iOS 4.1 and the settings are not there- Under Settings>Calendars - the only thing that comes up is the Manage Calendars screen that allows you to turn them on or off and move them up or down in order. I've checked every avaialble setting and it just isn't there. Perhaps they removed this because as you say under ios4, you would have to manually close 2Do for this to work and most people would not do that - Personally I don't like the way iOS4 keeps everything open without giving you the option to set each app individually to stay open or close completely when you exit the app

Thanks for verifying the differences in 2Do between our respective OSs. Now I have yet another reason to be reluctant to "upgrade" my device to iOS4.

I really want to be able to choose a default calendar. I believe that was an option before the big update. I don't know; it may have been when I had the free version. Regardless, I really want to have that option back, please. This is a geat app!

I strongly second that. Any chance of getting the default calendar on opening option back.

Totally agree! This was a very useful feature. The only thing I'm thinking is that under ios4.1, if you don't actually close the app manually which I would not want to take the time to do (quicker just to go to my "default" calendar manually), it might be very difficult to make this feature work.

Yep - you used to be able to choose your default opening screen - now the option has gone... It's no good on iOS4 because if you open a load of apps in the meantime the app resets and ends up opening on 'Today' again. I just want it to open on 'All' all the time...

Have the developers commented on this?

Thanks! :D

The option is hidden with iOS 4, but it's still there. I've used iBackupBot to change it.
Simply backup your device using itunes. Open iBackupBot and browse to your last backup. Choose "2Do: Tasks Done in Style" and open the file "Library/Preferences/com.guidedways.2Do.plist".
Find the line "<key>LaunchView</key>". The line below contains the option. I changed it from "<integer>1</integer>" (show today on startup) to "<integer>0</integer>" (show all on startup). I guess the number is the position of the calendar. But I didn't verify it.
