Turn off default alarm on tasks?

Postby braduro » Thu Feb 24, 2011 3:46 pm

Greetings,
I'm using the version of 2do just before the release that offers a finite number of recurrences in the repeat screen.

I've noticed that some of my tasks when they are created will have a default alarm assigned to them, which in my case happens to be 11AM for some seemingly arbitrary reason. This has come to my attention when I've set up recurrences for my tasks or sub-tasks within checklists. (Does this have something to do with being the first item on a list-some default position-like trying to delete the top calendar before a sync or is this just a Red Herring?) I've looked through all the settings options, and nothing suggests that I have turned on some default alarm for new tasks. Furthermore, it only comes on some of the time.

Maybe this has to do with how the previous task was set up? As a follow up, what parameters will continue from the last setting when creating new tasks in quick add, whether they are subtasks within projects and checklists or standalone tasks? For example, I noticed if I set a due date for a task, press create, and then start writing up a new task, looking through the Edit options, the due date from the previous task will have been applied. Are there other variables that carry over from the previous task?

Thanks for checking this out.

Thanks for getting through. Nope, that wasn't the problem. It's clear after creating tasks that some will take precedent with an 11a alarm. It says so right under the alarm option, even when I've never entered an alarm in. I've had auto-alarms off for all my tasks. Maybe its something more mundane that I'm overlooking.
