Local alerts sound location on Iphone (closed)

Postby Henk13 » Wed Nov 10, 2010 9:18 pm

Hi,

I would like to know where is the location (folder) in which the local alerts sounds are stored?
I want to add some custom made alert sounds since I can't hear the ones that are already there. Other solution would be that you guys add some more alert sound in the next software upgrade, loud ones, but I already saw an old post regarding this mater and I believe nothing has been done.
For the rest the application is brilliant.

Thanks.

Users don't have direct access to the file system, except for those apps that expose their Documents folder for file sharing through iTunes. Even if you did, there's no guarantee that simply adding a sound file would allow it to show up.

I have a jaibroiken phone so I believe I can access all folder and files.
Placing files in certain folders worked for my sms and calendar sound, but simply I can't find the location of the 2do local alerts sound file. I suppose they are .caf files.

Okay, .caf files are within the 2Do.app package itself. You probably can't add to them, but replacing them might do the trick.

I noticed some .caf files inside the 2do application folder but when comparing the names of those files with alert sound available inside the application itself, I could match any of the names, not even one of the 6 sounds available as sounds( Mellow, Bling, Door Bell, Crossbow, Idea. Old Alarm) - there are no .caf files with those 6 prefixes inside the 2do application folder, or at least I can't find them.

You where right. I managed to succeed. For some reason the alert sounds are named 1.caf, 2.caf, 3.caf, 4.caf, 5.caf, 6.caf.
It is enough to rename the file you want to use as one of the above mentioned files and replace it on the 2do application folder.
Works great.

Cheers and beers.
