outlook alert

I've just installed 2Do on my iPhone4 and sincronized with Outlook 2007.
What I don't understand is why Outlook alerts do not work: if I create a new task in Outlook and set the alert at 2PM, once I have the syncronized with my iPhone the task is correctly syncronized but I don't ear any alert sound at 2PM. Is it normal ?
I've read of push alert and e-mail but I have not clear how they work.

Unfortunately Outlook alerts don't yet sync back to 2Do (due to incompatibility reasons). We're trying to translate these alarms as best as we can however we're not sure what the ETA is on this.
