Sync button for Android Widget

I would like to suggest addition of a small sync button on the widget header or footer. As I see myself adding more and more tasks from external sources (other than the main APP) such as - Emails, toodledo gadgets, etc, I increasingly feed the need to sync my tasks whenever i want and have them appear in the widget without having to go to main App each time. The earlier version of 2Do had background sync options for 30 mins, 1 hour, 3 hours, etc..I personally liked these option, but now the new version only triggers sync when you open or close the app. The question that comes to my mind is - why should someone open the App just to enable syncing with ToodleDo. Adding a the sync button (that currently exisits within the main app) to the widget would provide the option for the user to manually sync whenever they want to and still not be power hungry.
